This Healthier One Pan Orange Chicken And Broccoli Is A Quick And Healthy Dinner Made In About 20 Minutes!.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound skinless boneless chicken thighs (cut into bite sized pieces)
  • 4-6 cups broccoli florets (from about two crowns)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 2 oranges)
  • zest of one orange
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1-2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce (to taste)
  • 3-4 garlic cloves (pressed or finely minced)
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger root
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • sesame seeds
  • red pepper flakes

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients for orange sauce, set aside
  2. Heat oil in a sauté pan over medium high heat. Add chicken and season with salt and pepper. Allow chicken to sit undisturbed for a few minutes, until it starts to brown. Turn and allow to brown on the other side. Stir and continue to cook until cooked through (8-10 minutes).
  3. Add broccoli to pan and cover with a lid. Allow to steam until broccoli is bright green and tender, 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in orange sauce, stir everything to completely coat in sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until sauce has thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve right away over rice or cauliflower rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and red pepper flakes if desired.
