Services

Fantastic Flavours is a consulting company to the flavour and food industry.

I have more that 40 years experience as a flavourist and was technical manager for a leading flavour company in Australia for 13 years.

I started my working life in the UK and worked there for three international flavour companies. On moving to Australia I worked for local and international companies.

Far from knowing everything about flavours I feel I am still learning. Something unexpected and new seems to happen every day.

Giving you the benefits of this experience and helping you solve the flavour puzzle is one of the objectives of this site.

Please click on the numerous links to see the articles and downloads!

If you want to develop your own flavours then I can directly help you.

Best wishes,

Tony Phelan

  • Cherry

Benzaldehyde has been associated with some types of cherry flavour and also heliotropine (known as cherry pie!) But fresh cherries do not have either flavour.

Pimento also called allspice
